Canterbury High Country

Increasingly I am drawn to the Canterbury High Country. Walking and exploring are activities I find incredibly relaxing and restoring for the soul.
The Canterbury landscape is some of the most varied in New Zealand, from tussock grassed hill sides to native beech forests to high alpine passes awash with greywacke rock and covered in snow all year round.
I consider myself fortunate to be able to live so close to such a broad range of environments.
There are also some images from outside Canterbury as well in this portfolio.
